Can Apple Valley Waste provide for automatic payments with my credit or debit card?
Yes, you may call a customer service representative at 877-267-1280 to setup automatic payments. Or, you may download a PDF version of our setup form and fax the information to 304-724-1890.
What time should my trash be placed out?
Apple Valley Waste recommends placing your garbage and recycling at the curb the night before, but please have it out no later than 5:00 a.m. on the day of your pickup. Keep four (4) feet of clear space on either side and do not place behind parked cars.
What do I do if my pick-up was missed or not set out in time?
Call us at 877-267-1280. If we missed the pick-up, we can pick up extra trash the following week at no charge or have the driver go back if he is still in your neighborhood. If your trash was not set out in time a “Go Back” charge may apply if the driver is already out of the immediate area.
Why didn’t Apple Valley Waste pick up my Yard Waste?
Yard Waste pickup is not included in your monthly service. Please contact our office to schedule a pickup.
Why didn’t Apple Valley Waste pick up my construction debris?
Construction debris (wood, drywall, shingles, siding, etc.) is not included in your monthly service. Please contact our office to schedule a pickup.
Does Apple Valley Waste take furniture, appliances, or other large items?
West Virginia customers are allowed 2 bulk items a month, such as furniture, appliances, or any item that might not be considered household waste. You may set the items out on your regular pickup day. Items over 50 lbs. or containing Freon must be scheduled in advance. Washington County customers can call our office to schedule an extra pickup.
Does Apple Valley Waste have a bag limit?
No, Apple Valley Waste does not have a strict bag limit. However, we ask that if you have more than your normal weekly amount please call the office, before your pickup day, so that we can make the driver aware. You may contact our office at 877-267-1280 or email us at info@applevalleywaste.com. Please note: The service only includes the trash generated by your household. Do not set out trash from any other household with yours as this may cause an interruption in your service.
How do I dispose of paint, oil, or other hazardous household waste?
Apple Valley Waste Service, Inc. does not pickup items considered hazardous household waste, oil, gasoline, paint, etc. To find out how to dispose of these items properly you may contact our office at 877-267-1280.
What is Apple Valley Waste inclement weather policy?
Apple Valley Waste will determine if roads are impassable. If this determination is made, Apple Valley Waste will attempt to access your area the following day or the first day roads are clear.
Where can I get a refuse cart?
95 gallon refuse carts are available for lease. They make taking out the trash a single trip to the curb. They are made of sturdy plastic with an attached lid to prevent animal tampering or spilling and blowing from the wind. They hold up to three standard trash cans worth of trash. Contact an Apple Valley Waste representative today to order your refuse cart.
I’m going on vacation; can I temporarily stop my service?
You can temporarily suspend your service while you are out of town for more than 3 weeks. Please call us in advance at 877-267-1280 to ensure credit is posted to your account.
