Apple Valley Waste serves a large tri-state area of West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia as well as the D.C. metro. But when it comes right down to it, we are a company with old-fashioned hometown values, striving to earn your trust and appreciation. We do business right here; we don’t answer to corporate dignitaries halfway around the world. We hire locally. We process all trash and recycle material locally. We love to educate and inform our customers with specially designed classes and workshops about responsible waste management – right here in our local education center. Connecting with our customers beyond an account number on a bill is priority for us. That’s why we call ourselves the AVW family – and consider you a part of it.
Part of the community.
We are not here in your community to simply do business. We are part of the community, as service workers and citizens. Giving back to the community both financially and in volunteer hours is a hallmark of our AVW family. We support local charities. We honor veterans. We turn heads with our dedicated community volunteer work.
AVW has supported communities across the tri-state and D.C. metro area in numerous ways over the years. Some highlights include:
- Donating to Wreaths Across America
- Helping with street cleanup after Wreaths Across America
- Supporting local Boys and Girls Club chapters with Christmas tree pickup fundraisers
- Donating cans and hauling away trash for local community cleanups
- Supporting a local Make-A-Wish foundation
- Donate bottles of water to Little League baseball teams so they can sell the bottles as fundraisers
- Berkeley County, Jefferson County and Morgan County Chamber of Commerce members
